Jak se to používá
forest je počitatelné: a forest, two forests. Menšímu lesíku se anglicky říká a wood, a hlavně v britské angličtině často the woods (v množném čísle) — we walked in the woods je „šli jsme do lesa". Pozor na předložky: „v lese" je in the forest, ale „do lesa" (dovnitř) je into the forest.
