O tom našem vesmíru se mluví vždycky s the: the universe, ne a universe. — Čeština má jedno slovo vesmír na dvě anglická: space je prázdný prostor nad atmosférou, kam se létá (travel into space), universe je celek — všechny hvězdy, galaxie a prostor mezi nimi. Proto astronauts go into space, ale the universe is expanding.
Pozor, falešný přítel
universe nemá nic společného s univerzitou — ta se řekne university. A universal neznamená univerzitní, ale všeobecný, platný pro všechny.
